Anonymous, circa 217-215 BC. Sextans (Bronze, 29 mm, 26.03 g, 9 h), Rome. She-wolf standing to right, head left, suckling the twins Remus and Romulus; in exeergue, two pellets (mark of value). Rev. ROMA Eagle standing to right with flower in his beak; to left, two pellets (mark of value). Crawford 39/3. RBW 107. Sydenham 95. Attractive dark brown and green patina. The reverse weakly struck, otherwise, nearly very fine.
